Clichè Numèrique

In French the masculine noun clichè can mean photograph or film-negative. Of course, in English the word describes an idea or phrase that is hackneyed and non-original.

Numèrique in the French language is numerical or digital.

These images combine cutting-edge digital manipulation with early photographic processes. Watercolour paper is hand-sensitised with a bromide-based solution before the large, acetate negatives produced from a digital file, are contact printed using UV light.
